The Head of State receives representatives of Gabon’s banking establishments

Libreville, October 13, 2023 – General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President of the Transition, Head of State received today at the Palais Rénovation a delegation of heads of banking establishments in Gabon led by Mrs. Patricia Manon, President of the Fund deposits and Consignment.
Ready to support public policies throughout the transition process, the general directors of our country’s financial institutions took stock of the functioning of these establishments with the Head of State.
Also, the President of the Republic urged the financial class to demonstrate transparency, compliance and respect for the rules which bind them to the State.
In addition, the President of the transition met with the Minister of Water and Forests, Colonel Maurice Ntossui Allogo. On the agenda of the discussions, the problem linked to the human/elephant conflict and the sale of illegally cut timber.
The Head of State has, to this end, instructed the member of the government to do everything possible to find palliative solutions in order to guarantee the security of rural populations on the one hand and to promote the forest economy on the other hand .
Gabon’s participation in the summit of the three basins which will be held in the coming days in Brazzaville as well as at COP 28 in Dubai was also mentioned during the discussions.
