Doha: Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s speech at the Jeddah Security Summit called the world’s attention to the stability of the Gulf region and Arab countries and international security. The Emir spoke at the Jeddah summit, criticizing the aggression and occupation of Palestine by Israel in strong language and pointing out that it is the most threatening action to the stability of the region.
Israel’s atrocities in violation of international law create the greatest instability in the region.

The unrest in the region will continue without an end unless we stop the migration in the occupied Palestinian territories, change the geographical structure of Jerusalem and the blockade of Gaza, said the Amir.
He stressed that finding a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue is the need of the people of the Arab and Muslim world and for world peace.
When Israel’s aggression continues in Palestine, there will be no reconciliation or compromise from the Arab countries. Such a course of action is not appropriate. Whenever the Arabs compromise, Israel behaves defiantly.

The Arab world has a public opinion on this matter just as Israel has a public opinion.
He also reminded that the United States has a crucial responsibility to implement the proposal of an independent Palestinian state. The Amir suggested that stability in the Gulf region is essential for the international community and that the Gulf region’s relationship with the United States should be strengthened and maintained.
He was speaking at a summit attended by leaders of various nations while explaining the political situation in the region.
All recognized that there is no security, stability or progress in the midst of conflict. Parties to the conflict seek assistance through the provisions of international law and the UN Charters to protect their people.
The Amir added that since the end of the Cold War, countries have been advocating the necessity of an alliance of international powers operating under international law and the UN Charter.
He pointed out the necessity of finding a permanent solution to the issues of Yemen, Syria, Libya and Ukraine and the responsibilities of the international community.
It was also clarified that participation in addressing the challenges facing humanity as a whole, including climate change, should not be forgotten beyond regional responsibilities.
The Amir arrived in Jeddah in the afternoon and was received by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the King Abdulaziz Airport. The Amir was accompanied by a high-level delegation led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Althani as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister.
