The International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises kicks off in Benghazi

With the aim of reducing the ‌unemployment​ problem in⁣ the country, the sessions of the international scientific conference ⁣on the role of ⁢small, ⁢medium and micro enterprises were ‍launched today, Thursday, in Benghazi, with broad⁢ Arab participation.

The ⁤opening was attended by a number of members of ⁤Parliament, as representatives of ‍the Libyan government ⁢assigned by the House ​of Representatives, ‌in addition to a number of ministers and those interested ​in small, ⁤medium and micro enterprises.

Delegations from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt,⁣ Morocco and Libya are participating in the conference. The conference is held ​under the auspices ⁣of the Ministry of‌ Labor and Rehabilitation​ in the Libyan ​government⁤ assigned⁤ by the House of Representatives.

The conference aims to:

  • Introduce the role⁢ of the General Authority for Employment in caring for⁣ youth, reducing unemployment and supporting small and ⁢medium enterprises.
  • Identify the extent to which these projects contribute ​to reducing‌ unemployment.
  • Identify the problems of these projects and how to address them.
  • Enhance the culture of initiative and ⁢entrepreneurship ⁣among Libyan youth towards self-employment.

Local and international participants discuss various topics, including youth, economic variables, and the ⁣culture of ‍freelancing. They also discuss the obstacles‍ to ⁣establishing small and medium enterprises and ⁤their role in⁤ addressing the unemployment⁤ problem, the role of training in entrepreneurship in the success of ⁣small and medium enterprises, and their financing mechanisms.
