With the aim of reducing the unemployment problem in the country, the sessions of the international scientific conference on the role of small, medium and micro enterprises were launched today, Thursday, in Benghazi, with broad Arab participation.
The opening was attended by a number of members of Parliament, as representatives of the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives, in addition to a number of ministers and those interested in small, medium and micro enterprises.
Delegations from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Libya are participating in the conference. The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives.
The conference aims to:
- Introduce the role of the General Authority for Employment in caring for youth, reducing unemployment and supporting small and medium enterprises.
- Identify the extent to which these projects contribute to reducing unemployment.
- Identify the problems of these projects and how to address them.
- Enhance the culture of initiative and entrepreneurship among Libyan youth towards self-employment.
Local and international participants discuss various topics, including youth, economic variables, and the culture of freelancing. They also discuss the obstacles to establishing small and medium enterprises and their role in addressing the unemployment problem, the role of training in entrepreneurship in the success of small and medium enterprises, and their financing mechanisms.
