PESCARA. The policeman of the Immigration office of the Pescara police headquarters investigated for corruption two days ago was “moved to another office” by the commissioner Luigi Liguori (pictured below). The removal decision was taken in light of the extension of the preliminary investigations and it is not excluded that “other internal measures will be adopted in the future, if they are to be taken”, as the commissioner explained yesterday after receiving the staff of the Immigration Office, “Disturbed” by what happened.
Liguori does not enter into the merits of the story, as the investigations are underway, but stresses that “if they were to ascertain the responsibilities” against this policeman, “I would be sorry from a human point of view but not from a professional life point of view”, adds the police he deems it appropriate to “isolate from others” those who commit violations, since they may prove to be “harmful”.

The hypothesis that something abnormal was happening emerged within the Immigration Office about a year ago.
