/ The Iraqi Football Association set, on Wednesday, the start and end dates for winter player transfers for the 2023-2024 season.

A member of the Professional League Competitions Committee, Shihab Ahmed, told Agency, “The deadline for transfers and winter contracts for Iraqi Professional League clubs begins on the 5th of this month, and any club wishing to sign players has the right to do so starting from the scheduled day.”

He pointed out that an entire month has been specified exactly during which winter transfers are allowed, and that the transfer window will close after the 5th of next February.

He added, “The player who is officially contracted with the support of the federation, whether local or professional, has the right to represent his new club after the contract.”

It is noteworthy that the Football Association allowed the Iraqi Stars clubs to register 4 foreign professional players under the international classification of national teams, ranked 90 and below, and two players ranked 91 and above.
