/ The Iraqi national team lost to its Korean counterpart with a score of 1-0, in the last test match for the Iraqi national team before entering the Asian Championship competitions scheduled to start in Qatar on the 12th of this month.
The match took place at exactly four o’clock Baghdad time, at New York University Stadium in Saadiyat in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi.
The first half ended with South Korea giving the Iraqi team a 1-0 lead. Korea’s goal came from Lee Jae-sung in the 40th minute.
In the second half, the result remained the same, with the Korean team in complete control, which managed the match in both halves as it wanted.
The Iraqi national team will leave the UAE for Doha on the 11th of this month to participate in the 2024 Asian Cup.
It is noteworthy that our national team plays in the fourth group alongside the teams of Indonesia, Japan and Vietnam.
