The singer and musician from Lleida of Nigerian origin stops Koers’ Afropop for a while to join the Vicens Martín Dream Big Band with a repertoire of soul, swing and jazz from the 30s and 40s, an unpublished proposal that this Monday will open the third edition of the Istiu festival in Castelló d’Empúries.

Isaiah explains that after performing at the Gaudí he received the proposal of Vicens Martín. “They had heard me, they had liked it and it seemed brutal to me, I like all styles and I want to close myself off to nothing, but at the same time quite a challenge, because it is a completely new repertoire for me”, he points out.

“It’s music that has been part of my life since I was little and other songs that I’ve discovered growing up and that I love very much”, he points out.

These days he is finalizing the preparations for the concert, which trust that you won’t be the only one, working hand in hand with the musicians of the Vicens Martín Dream Big Band. “We are many people, with different ways of doing things, tastes and characters, but working with them is an experience of 10”, he says.
