Moscow heard the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the potential for Armenia‘s withdrawal from the CSTO, quite a lot of work is predicted, contacts are wanted to make clear the scenario, stated Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.
Earlier, Pashinyan introduced that Armenia will withdraw from the CSTO if the group doesn’t reply the questions raised by Yerevan relating to the nation’s sovereign territory.
“In fact, we heard these statements. It’s apparent that massive works are anticipated now, we’d like contacts each inside CSTO and bilaterally with our Armenian companions. We are going to make clear and speak in accordance with the statements made by Mr. Prime Minister,” Peskov informed reporters.
When requested how the CSTO pertains to Pashinyan’s statements, Peskov replied that the Kremlin can not communicate on behalf of the group. “In fact, there’s some work to be completed inside CSTO.”
