The Japanese company Kubota is expanding its operations in Israel and entering the market of light and medium heavy duty vehicles for infrastructures. The Kubota company has chosen a movement equipment group to represent it in Israel and also in the field of light and medium heavy duty vehicles for infrastructure.

In the first phase, “Traffic Devices” will import to Israel the entire range of the company’s mini excavators and bicycle loaders: mini excavators from 0.8 to 9 tons, medium-sized bicycle loaders of 4.5 and 5.5 tons, as well as a wide variety of small tools for various uses in light infrastructure and agriculture. Kubota is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of mini-excavators, and now chooses the Israeli market as the first testing ground for the tiny wheel loaders (Bobcat) outside of the United States where they are manufactured. Later, the activity in Israel will also expand to other Kubota products.

Zvi Neta, CEO of the “Traffic Devices” group: “The company invested about NIS 2 million in the marketing and service mobility system for Kubota’s mini-excavators and wheel loaders. The market for mini excavators and wheel loaders in Israel is estimated at about 1,000 tools per year. Kubota’s market share in the field of light braiding tools in Europe is 26%, and it is expected that within a few years the company will capture such a market share in Israel as well.

“Kubota” was established in 1890 as a foundry in the city of Osaka, Japan. Over the years, it expanded into additional areas of activity, where the core areas of its activity were and remain engines for various uses, tractors for agriculture as well as light to medium equipment for infrastructures. “Kubota” exports all over the world, and is considered one of the leading companies in the world for the quality and reliability of its devices. It has been represented over the years by various companies in the Israeli market, in industry and agriculture, and since 2014 it has been represented by “movement devices” in the field of agricultural tractors and now also in the field of tractors.

“Kubota” is regularly looking for growth engines to expand its activities and last year, among other things, Kubota Global invested in several Israeli ventures in the field of agriculture. Thus, for example, it collaborates with the TEVEL company that develops tools and technology for picking fruit by drones, and with the SEETREE company that develops tools and technology for diagnosing the state of the orchard by drones.
