The American company BlackSky reported a failure in the launch of the Electron rocket in New Zealand, which on Saturday was supposed to launch two Earth remote sensing satellites into orbit. It is reported that the emergency occurred after the start of the second stage engines.

“There was a problem that led to the failure of the mission,” – said in the message.

The first flight of Electron took place in May 2017, the current one was supposed to be the 20th. Previously, the rocket had only one unsuccessful launch.
