The launch of the reactor of the second unit of the Belarusian NPP was announced

The readiness of the second unit of the BelNPP is currently 96%, very soon the reactor plant will be brought to the minimum controllable power level. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich.

According to him, the assembly of the reactor plant has now been completed and its hydrotesting has been carried out. During the tests, it was found that all systems and equipment meet the design specifications.

“At the moment, preparatory work for the launch of a controlled chain reaction is being completed at the second block of the station,” Karankevich said.
