With the arrival of the ranking in the country, companies have increased their teams of internal lawyers and strengthened their legal teams
The Legal 500 event that took place at the JW Marriot hotel in Bogotá presented Colombia’s GC Powerlist for the year 2023. This ranking highlights the best lawyers in house of the most influential businesses today in more than 40 different jurisdictions. Some of the companies that are part of this are Mercado Libre, Claro Colombia and Banco Davivienda.
El ranking, which highlights the in-house lawyers and legal teams of the companies, includes 111 in-house lawyers who have been selected following a rigorous selection and evaluation process by The Legal 500 GC Powerlist team. This listing is developed in partnership with the law firm Baker Mckenzie and is prepared by researchers and editors who are experts in the legal field.
With the arrival of the ranking to Colombia, Companies have been increasing their teams of in-house lawyers and strengthening their legal teams with the purpose of getting the most out of this department and developing our own internal skills.
In relation to this year’s results, the outstanding lawyers come from various sectors such as trade with Alejandro Noguera from Mercado Libre, communications with Álvaro José Tovar from Claro Colombia, banks with Álvaro Montero del Davivienda Bank and construction with Carlos Andrés Bonilla from Cemex Colombia.
