Actor Vladimir Portnov died at the age of 82, according to the portal “Kino-teatr.ru”. Death occurred on July 14, the reasons are not specified. Portnov was known to the audience thanks to the role of a jeweler in the film “The Prisoner of the Castle of If” and the doctor Lyuty in “The Crimson Color of the Snowfall”.
The actor has more than 100 roles in the theater and about 30 in the cinema. He was born on August 29, 1940 and served in the Tashkent Russian Theater in the 1960s, and also worked in the Minsk Gorky Drama Theater. Later he worked as a director in various theaters, including Mayakovsky, Stanislavsky and the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya.
In the 1990s, Portnov left for Israel, where he staged performances at the Noah’s Ark and Habima theaters. In the early 2000s, he returned to Russia.
