The Madrid City Council has been condemned for not immediately notifying the removal of a motorcycle from the airport parking Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas who lacked mandatory insurance and ITV. The owner left his moped (Peugot Zenit brand) to go on vacation and upon returning he found only an empty space. He thought it had been stolen, but it was in the municipal warehouse. The motorcycle ended up in the scrapyard one year later. Now, the Contentious Court number 26 of Madrid has annulled the council’s resolution by which it required the owner of the vehicle to proceed to remove it from the municipal deposit after payment of the expenses incurred. The affected will sue the city council for compensation for the destruction of the motorcycle.
