The Ministry of Health announced that its measles vaccination campaign reached 84% of the total target, while confirming the vaccination of (6,206,829) children throughout Iraq.

The Ministry’s official spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, said in a statement to the (INA), today, Thursday, that “The Ministry is continuing its national measles vaccination campaign, which began on April 14, 2024, for a period of ten actual days for school and kindergarten students, as the number of those vaccinated until the ninth day reached about (6,206,829) children, representing 83.9% of the total goal throughout Iraq, including the Kurdistan region, in order to protect the people of our country and preserve their health from contracting the disease.”
Al-Badr stressed that “all the vaccines used are safe and effective and of reputable global origins, reiterating the call of the Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, to all families to turn to receiving vaccines during the last day of the campaign, which lasted ten days, the last of which was today, Thursday.”
