The son of the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, ex-presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Viktor Ishaev, Dmitry died in Khabarovsk. His body was found at the hotel, sources told RIA Novosti and Izvestia. The cause of death could be a heart attack.
Izvestia’s source said that no signs of violent death were found on the body of Mr. Ishaev. The Investigation Department of the TFR in the Khabarovsk Territory reported that it was conducting an investigation into the death of a man in a hotel. The agency does not disclose his identity. “The reasons will be established based on the results of the examination,” – said the representative of the ICR “RIA Novosti”.
Dmitry Ishaev was born in 1972. He was engaged in the wholesale of petroleum products, building materials and metal. His father, Viktor Ishaev, headed the Khabarovsk Territory in 1991-2009. He also worked as Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Minister for Development of the Far East and Vice President of Rosneft. In February 2021, he was found guilty of embezzling more than 7.5 million rubles. from the funds of NK Rosneft. The court sentenced him to five years of probation. Viktor Ishaev pleaded not guilty.
