To carry out this work of assistance to people affected by climate change, the Merankabandi project called on agencies of the United Nations system such as the FAO and the WFP which are used to intervening in emergency response with a objective identification.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender Pontien Hatungimana asked the population benefiting from seeds and fertilizers to make good use of them in order to make them profitable to have a good harvest.

Pontien Hatungimana urged the local administration to appropriate this support while ensuring that fertilizers and seeds are not sold.
According to Merankabandi project coordinator Michel Nyabenda, contracts with agencies specializing in emergency response have been beneficial in terms of quality and objective identification.
