Sergio Conceiçao, coach of FC Porto, was well aware of the danger. With a release clause of 40 million euros “only”, the little Vitor Machado Ferreira, known as Vitinha, was within reach of all the big clubs in Europe. On several occasions this season, Conceiçao had therefore requested his management to better protect himself.
