The Alternative Projects group, in a published article, referred to the situation in the area of the Sotki gold mine. The article states that Armenia is in the role of a passive observer in the adjustment of borders, because there is no government in Armenia at the moment. “The seriousness of the Sotkh problem is not fully understood in Armenia.
There is no power, it is obvious. But non-governmental systems and leaders are also silent. There is a fear that the potential of seriousness in Armenia has drastically decreased, which is the greatest risk for the state. The problem of famine will have a continuation, which will create vital risks for Armenia.
1. Knowing that Kelbajar will be handed over under the contract and not dealing with the problem of Sotk for 2 weeks after that is just a crime. The enterprise with Russian capital is the fourth taxpayer of Armenia and if it does not work, our economy will suffer huge losses.
2. Armenia is a passive observer in border adjustment. the Azerbaijanis come with the Russians with some maps in their hands, and the Armenian side records their decision. And it is for this reason that a number of settlements in Artsakh come under the control of Azerbaijan. The same Sotk is highly controversial, because during the Soviet Union it was always exploited by Soviet Armenia.
3. Border adjustment negotiations – delimitation – are not done at the level of generals. It is a matter of interstate negotiations. The authorities of Armenia do not imagine this problem, and Azerbaijan is creating serious problems for Armenia with clear and precise steps.
4. If Sotk did not work or worked only half, then the future of Ararat gold mining factory will be questioned.
5. If Sotk didn’t work, it will create big problems for financial markets. As a matter of fact, we will find ourselves in the same situation as in the case of “Lydian” in the context of attracting foreign investments.
6. Azerbaijan creates problems for our unique economic powers with a clear policy. And Sotk is not the only one. The roads of Syunik, in fact, become under the control of Azerbaijan, and serious problems can be created for the transportation of Kajaran and Agarak combines.
Armenia has entered a very difficult phase, and in this post-war phase, historical events are taking place and Armenia may suffer irreversible losses.
There is no government as such in Armenia today. Ka N. Pashinyan, who has a formal right to international phone calls, the effectiveness of which is difficult to understand. Nothing else.
Developments show that:
a/ Ka’m N. Pashinyan does not understand the problems, their urgency, their depth and the moment of irreversibility.
b/ Ka’m, realizing that he will not be in power soon, causes the greatest damage to the next authorities of Armenia and Armenia.
This cannot be allowed. The behavior of non-governmental figures is also very important today. Leadership is not shouting loudly at a rally, not negotiating seats in the future government. Leadership is a mission and an ability. International partners should note that there are people and circles in Armenia who understand the situation and problems as a whole. Our society should also record that.
And this is where there cannot be a problem of old and new. It is really important that the person or people who have a deep understanding of these new risks speak competently. This is important both inside and outside.
