The Minister of Communications announces the completion of mechanisms for issuing biometric identification for employees, retirees, and workers

Today, Monday, Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, announced the completion of mechanisms for issuing biometric identification for employees, retirees, and workers.

A statement from the ministry, received by the (INA), said: “In continuation of a series of ongoing meetings, the Minister of Communications, Hiam Al-Yasiri, chaired the meeting of the executive team to issue the biometric identity for employees of government departments, retirees, and workers.”
Al-Yasiri confirmed, “The meeting comes as a continuation of previous meetings, where detailed mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between relevant government agencies were completed, to issue a unified biometric identity for state employees bearing the employee’s job number and for retirees bearing the retirement number, as well as for workers covered by social security, and it has been developed.” Identity standards, in accordance with international standards, with the addition of a number of controls and conditions for their issuance.”
The statement added, “This comes within the framework of the state’s drive to unify data and adopt the unified national card data as a reliable reference for citizen data as part of the government’s steps and its tireless efforts in digital transformation and simplifying procedures.”
The statement continued, “In the same context, the committee discussed mechanisms to boycott the data of the ration card and beneficiaries of the social welfare network, to detect violators, protect public money, and reduce cases of fraud and manipulation.”
