Today, Friday, the Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, ordered full alert to confront bad weather conditions and rainfall.
The Ministry of Electricity said in a statement received by the (INA): “Fadil directed all the Ministry’s personnel to be on full and maximum alert to confront bad weather conditions and support the efforts of the Baghdad Municipality and municipal departments in all governorates.”
The Minister stressed, according to the statement, “taking into account the exception of electricity feeders for heavy water and rainwater drainage stations, hospitals and health centres,” instructing “all general managers and directors of branches, sectors and maintenance centres, to be present in their departments and monitor networks and feeders, and to pay attention to citizens’ complaints, and the necessity of utmost attention from Before the control centers restore all separate lines to avoid rainwater accumulating in the streets.”
The statement added, “The Ministry of Electricity calls on all citizens to take care to stay away from the network’s determinants, such as electricity poles and wires, and not to touch them during rainfall, and to report any case to the nearest maintenance center in order to preserve their lives…and safety for all.”
