NA Speaker Artur Tovmasyan, who is on a working visit to Yerevan, met with RA Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan on March 26.
The National Assembly of Artsakh states that during the meeting, the parties discussed social-economic, humanitarian and other time-related problems that arose in post-war Artsakh, and referred to the work being done to solve them. At the meeting, the heads of the RA Foreign Ministry and the Armenian Parliament, in particular, talked about the measures taken to return the Armenian prisoners of war and hostages to their homeland.
Both sides considered the Armenian religious and historical-cultural genocide adopted by Azerbaijan to be reprehensible, and in this regard, emphasized the appeals of the foreign ministry to international structures.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Artur Tovmasyan, referring to the internal political developments in Armenia, said:
“Perhaps the best option for any state in a crisis situation is to hold extraordinary elections. The situation created in RA itself requires extraordinary parliamentary elections. If we want to have a safe Artsakh, we must have a stable Armenia and a strong Diaspora.”
