The Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul Jabbar, instructed the allocation of 300 million dinars to the Thalassemia Center, in addition to allocating an amount of 35 million dinars per month, after the approval of the Board of Directors of the Basra Oil Company, to support the Thalassemia Center with the necessary monthly needs.
Abdul Jabbar said, according to a statement by the Ministry of Oil, a copy of which was received by the (INA), that “national, professional and moral responsibility requires all concerned parties and others to provide support and support to these centers in order to provide the best services to citizens and alleviate their health suffering.”
The statement added, “During his reception in Basra, a number of officials from the specialized centers and genetic blood diseases in the Basra Health Department discussed the needs of the specialized centers, laboratories, and services provided to patients and visitors.”
The Minister of Oil instructed the Basra Oil Company to “allocate an amount of (200,000,000) two hundred million dinars to equip the Thalassemia Center with the required medical equipment, and allocate an amount of (100,000,000) one hundred million dinars to prepare the operational materials for the laboratory, with the aim of accelerating the provision of analysis and disease diagnosis services to citizens in Basra and in general.” Iraq”.
The statement continued, “He also directed the allocation of a monthly amount of (35,000,000) thirty-five million dinars, after the approval of the Board of Directors of the Basra Oil Company, to support the Thalassemia Center with the necessary monthly needs of medical supplies and operational materials for laboratory equipment.”
For his part, the Director of the Center for Genetic Blood Diseases praised the great support provided by the Ministry and the Basra Oil Company to improve the health services provided to citizens.
