The Minister of Works met with the Minister of Electricity and Water, Dr. Today Amani Boukmaz, representatives of 7 foreign embassies; To discuss participation and participation in road maintenance through specialized companies affiliated with those countries. Minister Bukmaz said that the meeting came after a direct directive from the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to make every effort to maintain the roads in a way that raises the level of safety and security for the citizen and resident. She pointed out that companies were asked to nominate through diplomatic channels to qualify them and enter tenders related to road and street maintenance, adding that “the entry of new technology in work related to road repairs is welcome and we hope to see it.” Bogmaz stressed the need to take into account experience and quality as a basic pillar in qualification, in addition to the ability to train Kuwaiti engineers according to international standards to gain experience.

The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of South Korea, France, Japan, China and Turkey, the charge d’affaires of the US embassy and the charge d’affaires of Germany.
