The Ministry of Digital Development is discussing with the IT industry the unification of methods for depersonalizing personal data (PD) and working with them for subjects of critical information infrastructure (CII), so that later this data can be used to train artificial intelligence algorithms. Such entities include, for example, government agencies, telecom operators, etc. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development Alexander Shoitov at the round table of the OS DAY conference on June 23.

“We have a task to develop unification methods for artificial intelligence. This is the starting point, namely in critical applications (for CII subjects. – Vedomosti). Where there are no critical applications, this unification will probably not be mandatory,” Shoitov said. According to him, the requirements for unification and standardization should be proposed to the state by the developers themselves.
