The leadership of the Artsakh National Assembly met with the coordinator of the Commission on Artsakh issues, we learn from the announcement of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh.
“Today, on February 19, Gagik Baghunts, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, and the leaders of the factions met with Vardan Oskanyan, the coordinator of the commission called for the collective repatriation of the people of Artsakh and the protection of other fundamental rights.
The participants of the meeting emphasized that the Nagorno Karabakh issue has not been resolved, that the depopulation and temporary occupation of Artsakh cannot eliminate the inalienable right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination, the natural requirement to live safely and securely in their thousand-year-old homeland, which is fixed by the norms of international law.
The steps necessary to create a safe and legal environment under strong international guarantees for the repatriation of Artsakh Armenians and the implementation of safe and secure life activities, excluding threats to physical existence and identity, were discussed. In that direction, the purposeful and targeted coordination of the efforts of pan-Armenian structures and individuals was highlighted.
Any manifestation of manipulation and abuse of the issue of the repatriation of Artsakh Armenians was considered inadmissible.”
