The name of Hurricane Daniel, which hit eastern Libya, devastating the city of Derna, ”is a demonstration of the growing influence of Zionism”. This was supported by the president of Tunisia Kais Saied in a speech shared on social media, in which he said he was convinced that the choice of name given to the atmospheric phenomenon is proof of an ”increasingly profound infiltration of Zionism”. Calling the hurricane ‘Daniel’ was, according to Saied, ”an attack on thought and mind”.
