And the international organization announced that it had kept a short list of “priority diseases” that could cause a fatal epidemic in the future.
She stated that most diseases are already known, such as Ebola, SARS, and others, but a recent development has occurred that warns that the next epidemic will bear the name “Disease X.”
The organization usually uses the term “Disease X”, to describe a disease unknown to medical science that causes infection to humanity.
She pointed out that the disease is new, whether it is a virus, bacteria, fungus or other factor, so there are no vaccines or treatments yet.
