What is the most requested experience for 2024? You will be surprised or not, but a survey commissioned by Expedia (Expedia®) – one of the largest online travel agencies in the world shows that the Northern Lights lead the glorious list. Nearly half (42%) of Americans prefer this particular experience over other experiences in the categories.
A trip to see the northern lights is more in demand than a visit to the pyramids of Egypt (36%) or a trip along the Great Wall of China (33%). The number of searches for a visit to Lapland skyrockets (up 370%) compared to a visit to the town of Churchill – the polar bear capital of Canada (110%), Alta in Norway (100%) – the city of the Northern Lights, Narvik, Norway – a city in the province Nordland on the coast of Narvik Fjord (90%) and more.
