The organic farming certification support competition is launched

With the co-financing of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) within the framework of the “Development of Organic Agriculture in the Northern Communities of Armenia as a Stimulus for Poverty Reduction and Biodiversity Protection” program (OFDNA), the organic agriculture certification support competition is starting.

Farmers, cooperatives, processing organizations of the communities included in the program of Lori, Tavush and Gegharkunik marzes, who are already involved or have a desire to engage in organic agriculture, can participate in the competition.

You can fill out applications online or in paper form (Word / PDF). The deadline for applications is 30.09.2020.

The following villages are included in the program:

Lori region:

Atan, Bovadzor, Dzoragigh, Hagvi, Hobardzi, Karaberd, Karinj, Karmir Aghek, Lejan, Lori Berd, Lorut, Marts, Privolnoye, Shamut, Tsaghkashat, Tsater, Urut.

Tavush marz:

Aghavnavank, Berkaber, Chinchin, Ditavan, Hovk, Itsakar, Lusahovit, Navur, Tavush.

Gegharkunik marz:

Antaramej, Aygut, Dprabak, Kalavan-Barepat, Dzoravank.

The project (OFDNA) is three-year, it is implemented by “Eco-Glob” environmental non-governmental organization and “Bezoar” wildlife conservation non-governmental organization, aimed at promoting the development of organic agriculture in 32 villages of Tavush, Lori and Gegharkunik marzes, the creation of cooperatives and the sale of the obtained products. : The main objective of the project is to reduce the level of poverty in the target villages and preserve the biodiversity.
