The parents caught the son who tried to beat up the ten-year-old girl and handed him over to the police. The incident took place in Colorado, USA. Twenty-eight-year-old Diego James Gettler was arrested on Monday. On the morning of September 23rd, he tried to hit the female student at Stem Lounge K8 School in Thornton, Colorado.
The youth has been charged with second-degree assault. The attempt to abduct the ten-year-old girl took place after her mother left her in front of the school and returned. The young man asked the child if he was going to school and after walking with the child for a while, caught him. As the child screamed, the young man covered the ten-year-old girl’s mouth with his hands. When the girl grabbed his mask and pulled it off, he passed away.
The police got the picture of the young man from the CCTV footage of the school. The CCTV footage showed the youth standing in the school premises, approaching the child, then running and driving away from the parking area. The police had released the picture of the accused on the day of the incident. The young man’s parents approached the police when they noticed this picture.
They informed the police that it was their son who tried to knock them away. Diego’s mobile phone signals also revealed that he was in the school premises at the time of the incident. The car used by the youth was also identified from the CCTV footage. This is why he was arrested. He is currently in the Adams County Jail and will be arraigned on October 5.
