The plane remains blocked for 5 hours on the tarmac, a pregnant passenger is unwell

Nothing went as planned. Passengers were supposed to travel from London (United Kingdom) to Venice (Italy) on October 23 but were finally unable to leave until the next day, after hours of waiting on the tarmac, reports the Mirror relayed by Capital.

After a two-hour delay due to a heavy storm, travelers were finally able to board the plane operated by EasyJet around 6 p.m. Soon another problem arose. The pilot tried to contact airport personnel several times, to no avail.

A malaise, no info or monitoring

About fifty calls were made in a vacuum and the passengers testified to a “very angry” captain. Because of this communication fault, two possible departure slots for the aircraft would have been missed. In total, the passengers stayed five hours on the plane, motionless on the tarmac, without any information.

Around midnight, they finally learned that their flight was canceled and were disembarked. Passengers have since denounced the dismal management of the situation. Around 11 p.m., a pregnant woman in particular felt unwell, but the doctor called to her rescue took twenty minutes to arrive. Three other passengers were reportedly left unattended on the plane with the cockpit door open.

The situation created panic in the cabin and several passengers tried to get out of the plane. Since the incident, EasyJet has spoken out and apologized to travellers. The airline claims to have informed passengers as much as possible and to have offered accommodation solutions. The flight finally took off the next day for Venice.
