Law enforcement officers conducted an armed attack exercise at school No. 1 in Turinsk (Sverdlovsk region). As Interfax reported with reference to the local administration, an unknown person brought a hunting rifle to the school and was detained.
The man acted as part of a routine training session, Valery Gorelykh, press secretary of the MIA General Administration for the Sverdlovsk Region, told Kommersant. According to him, training on actions during emergencies was carried out in the premises of the school and the adjacent territory. It was carried out by local law enforcement agencies. “It has already been completed, the educational institution is operating normally,” he added.
On Monday, September 20, 18-year-old student Timur Bekmansurov started shooting in one of the buildings of the Perm State National Research University. As a result, six people were killed, another 43 were injured. During the attack, the student was wounded, after which he was hospitalized.
