Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, met with the executive director of the “Mubadala” investment company Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak.
Mubadala Investment Company is a major investment company that manages a diverse portfolio of assets and investments in the United Arab Emirates and abroad. The company mainly operates and invests in the fields of high technology, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, education, science and is represented in more than 50 countries of the world. Mubadala has an estimated $243 billion in assets under management and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Mubadala also has offices in London, Rio de Janeiro, Moscow, New York, San Francisco and Beijing.
President Sargsyan once again expressed his gratitude for the willingness of the Masdar company, a branch of the Mubadala investment company, to implement 400 MW of projects in the field of renewable energy in Armenia. The President highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the Masdar company and the State Interests Fund of Armenia on the implementation of the “Aig-1” project.
At the meeting, the possibilities of extensive investments in alternative energy, as well as in other fields, were discussed. President Sargsyan noted that Armenia is interested in the possible presence of Emirati companies in other sectors of our country’s economy as well and is ready for long-term cooperation.
