The Aveyron prefecture has just announced the gradual lifting of restrictions on water withdrawals and uses from the natural environment, reports Actu.fr. A still alarming situation
This lowering of restrictions was decided following the low water operational monitoring committee (CSO). Although these bad weather conditions improve the situation, the rainfall deficit remains significant compared to the reference normal (1991-2020): it stood at 42% as of October 23. In fact, the soils remain very dry and the water tables are entering a period of recharge.
