On April 6, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, hosted the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Armenia, Anne Luyot.

Issues of bilateral interest were discussed during the meeting. It was emphasized that the existing legal and contractual relations between the two countries in the fields of tax and customs administration provide an opportunity for active interaction on bilateral as well as international platforms.

At the meeting, reference was also made to the works carried out within the framework of the “Support to the Tax Administration of RA” program financed by the French Development Agency and implemented by the “Expertise France” organization. The parties emphasized their importance, as well as the prospects of cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work of the project.

It should be noted that in March 2018, a grant agreement worth EUR 500,000 was signed between the French Development Agency and the RA Ministry of Finance in support of tax reforms. In July 2019, the agreement signed between the RA State Revenue Committee and the “Expertise France” organization initiated the technical assistance program, the purpose of which is to assist the tax administration of Armenia in the implementation of the 2020-2024 strategy.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the SRC and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to RA expressed their readiness to activate the active steps in the direction of expanding further cooperation and implementing the agreements reached.
