Ishkhan Zakaryan, Chairman of the Control Chamber of the RA, Chairman of the Pan-Armenian Games World Committee (Chairman of the Organizing Committee), reported that the ceremonial opening of the Games will be held at the Republican Stadium, and the closing ceremony will be held on August 13, at the Theater Square. The games will be held in Yerevan, NKR capital Stepanakert, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Abovyan, Artashat under the motto “Unity in sport”. According to the charter, the collective teams of the cities participate in the Pan-Armenian games.
The chairman of the organizing committee presented the sports included in the program of the Games, the applications received so far for each of these sports, as well as the number of cities and participants that submitted applications, which will be summarized by the deadline for accepting applications, after July 15. The participants of the meeting were also presented with the history of the All-Armenian Games since 1999, the state of regional structures, the planned works of various ministries and agencies.
President Serzh Sargsyan emphasized the importance of holding the Pan-Armenian Games at a high level and gave relevant instructions, stressing that the 6th Pan-Armenian Games are held within the framework of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and require maximum efforts from all state bodies and those responsible for the event to properly organize it. and to spend.
