The price of gold in the country’s market has been increased again. The new price of best quality gold or one load of 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold has been fixed at Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 948.

This price has been increased due to the increase in the price of acid gold (ripe gold) in the local market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that this price will be implemented from Monday.

Earlier, the price of gold rose in the country’s market on Saturday after eight consecutive declines. On Saturday, it was announced to increase the price of gold by a maximum of 1 thousand 50 rupees. 1 lakh 10 thousand 213 taka per full 22 carat hallmarked gold. This time the new price has been increased by 735 taka to 1 lakh 10 thousand 948 taka. As a result, the price of gold increased by 1 thousand 785 taka in two days.

According to the new prices, 21 carat gold will be sold at Tk 1 lakh 5 thousand 897, 18 carat gold at Tk 90 thousand 769 and traditional gold at Tk 75 thousand 489.

The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat price is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat price is 1 thousand 715 taka and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 taka.
