Intel is preparing a refresh of the Raptor Lake that will make up the 14th generation Core, but they will be rehashes of the manual. They are the same architecture, with slightly increased frequencies and in some specific cases Intel will add some additional E cores for what they will say. This Raptor Lake refreshment would arrive in October, and now rumors suggest that the price of these processors will be 15% higher than their current generation equivalents.

Three processors (14600K, 14700K, and 14900K) are expected to arrive with the turbo clock increased by about 200 MHz. The 14700K alone would add four E-cores, and Intel would charge $485 instead of $425, up 14%. But the 14900K and 14600K would have similar price hikes, but without adding more cores and would stay at 3% more performance for 15% more in price. It doesn’t seem like a good deal.
