A meeting was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which issues related to the activities of “Enterprise Armenia”, the Investment Support Center, were discussed.

The Prime Minister noted that the purpose of today’s consultation is to discuss the Charter of the Investment Support Center. “We constantly have various problems related to the issues raised by investors, when people in the Republic of Armenia encounter all kinds of complications while implementing investment projects. We have tested several different formats on how to identify, discuss and provide solutions to these problems so that the investment process for investors goes more smoothly.

As a result of that process, we ultimately came to the conclusion to test the following solution to involve the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and line ministers on the Board of Trustees of the Investment Support Centre. All those investment programs that need to be accompanied will be discussed in the board of trustees, as necessary, representatives of departments with functions will be invited and we will make this a platform for discussion of investment programs. Today, our goal is for us to look again at the Charter of the Investment Support Center with this logic and move forward,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.

Then, issues related to the charter, functions and steps of “Enterprise Armenia” aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of investments, making Armenia an attractive investment environment, promoting and attracting investments were discussed.

“Enterprise Armenia” presented a report, which referred to the assistance provided to investors since May 2020, accompanying investors, and the work done to achieve the solution of various problems. Reference was made to the investment projects, including those presented by foreign companies, which are currently on the “Enterprise Armenia” platform.

Summing up, Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to organize a consultation soon after confirming the new composition of the council and to present the investment programs that have faced various problems and are not moving forward. The Council will discuss the obstacles in detail and try to find appropriate solutions, including legislative ones.
