As a rule, the establishment of the new world order is preceded by quite catastrophic events that take the lives of tens of millions of people and cause destruction.

We are now participating in the process of forming a new world order, it is assumed that the active phase has not reached its maximum level, let alone ended, political scientist, founder of “Profil” publishing house Armen Minasyan told the “Objective” program.

“The intersection connects two streets, but are the streets adjacent to Armenia peaceful? Armenia connects the Middle East with the North, Europe with the East. Is it peaceful everywhere, will we become a crossroad? In order for Armenia to become the so-called crossroads of peace, it must be peaceful from China to Portugal. And we see that the world is not only at war, it is preparing for an even bigger war. Now we expect that we will become a crossroads between wars?’

According to Armen Minasyan, one of the key issues of global competition concerns logistics, the global transport system. Armenia’s only potential is to be involved in any of the logistics systems. In other words, there is a sharp competition in the specific field, we are in the front line of that competition and, in fact, we consider that we should become a crossroads of peace.

“Is peace a process that you can declare and make a reality by yourself? If the rabbit in the jungle declares that it is necessary to live in peace, will the wolf follow it? War is the continuation of politics with other instruments. There is always the use of force, there is no politics without force and there is no society without politics.”

The political scientist emphasizes that peace is the result of a great dialogue, based primarily on the balance of forces.

“We are in the Middle East, which has always been a critical region. We are in the border zone and it is understandable that the conflicts are much more pronounced at the borders than inside the cultural areas. If we look around us, we will see that there is a huge tension in all directions: North-South, East-West, Iran-Azerbaijan, Turkey-Iran, Israel-Arab world and all this is only up to 500 km away from Yerevan. Do we perceive that we are at the center of these processes? Those processes are so close to us that we can suffer during them without standing up. Imagine a military operation against Iran, any destabilization in 80 million Iran will lead to mass migration, it is clear that we will be one of the destinations, is our country ready for a large flow of migrants? Recently, several tens of thousands of migrants have arrived from South Asia. Can we imagine that 2.5 billion such people live just a thousand kilometers away from us, and a few million of these people may one day decide that they want to live well?”

Armen Minasyan reminds that the primary task of the state is to ensure security, which is a much broader concept than just having an army. Security is basic for the state. if there is no security, there can be no peace.
