Gomelpromstroy, once the largest and most honored construction organization in the Gomel region, is selling its property for debts. “Flagpole” showed what today remains of the former grandeur of the building of this open joint-stock company.
On the site of the confiscated real estate, an office building is put up for sale at 22a Zharkovsky Street in Gomel. The initial auction price for a five-story building with a total area of 2,792.2 square meters is 3,580,200 rubles.
The capital building belongs to Gomelpromstroy OJSC, the plant management of the organization was located here. The building was built in 1986, the last reconstruction was carried out just a year ago. Recently, the premises located in the building have been offered for rent as offices.
The property was confiscated for non-fulfillment of tax obligations by the enterprise. OJSC Gomelpromstroy has been consistently on the list of debtors to the tax authorities since June 2018.
JSC “Gomelpromstroy” is the successor of the oldest construction trust in the Gomel region, founded in 1938. In 1968, the enterprise was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, which still appears in the full name of the organization. In addition to Gomelpromstroy in Gomel, only Gomselmash was awarded such a title.
Other large construction organizations of Gomel, such as the Gomel DSK, construction trusts No. 14 and No. 27 also originated in the bowels of this organization and were subsequently separated into independent economic entities. Like the parent organization, building trusts are also selling off their assets today.
