The deceased was born on the first holiday of Sukkot in the year 555, to his father Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leibel Lichtenstein ztzal who was the son of Rabbi Mordechai Lichtenstein ztzal of Ostrova, nicknamed by all R. Motel Ostrover”as a child he hung out with his grandfather and learned a lot from him.

He was known as a great scholar who sat on the Torah and the work, he was known as one of the most prominent students of the sages in the court of the Gur Chassidim, he was known as having grace and pleasant manners. As mentioned, the deceased served as the rabbi of Beit Hasidim Degor on Maimon Street in Bnei Brak for many years. Before that, their residence was on Shadel Street.

He won and left behind him a blessed generation of righteous men, sons and daughters, sons-in-law and offspring, the seed of God’s blessing. More than a decade ago, his wife, the great educator Martha Nechama, passed away.

His funeral took place this evening (after Simchat Torah) from his home at 15 Gara St. in Bnei Brak through Beit Hasidim on Maimon St. and from there through Beit Midrash Hagadol Gor in Jerusalem to the Hare Hamonuchot there Yeatman.
