Publications about intelligence assessments according to which Iran plans to deliver two short-range ballistic missiles for Russia in its war with Ukraine, led Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai to a controversial tweet, and clarification from senior officials in the foreign rebellion.

Yesterday, the minister tweeted: “This morning it was reported that Iran is transferring ballistic missiles to Russia. The arguments about where Israel should stand in this bloody conflict are over. There is no room for self-righteousness anymore. The time has come for Ukraine to receive military aid as the United States and NATO countries do.”

“A move that will destroy relations between Israel and Russia”

The former President of Russia and the former Prime Minister, and who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, warned Israel today (Monday) if it supplies weapons to Ukraine. “It seems that Israel is facing an irresponsible move, which is to supply weapons to the Ukrainians. This is a move that will destroy relations between Israel and Russia.”

Journalist Barak Ravid published that according to senior Israeli officials, Medvedev’s words apparently come in response to Minister Shai’s words from yesterday. According to Ravid, senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified this evening that “Minister Nachman Shai’s words that Israel should supply weapons to Ukraine do not represent the government’s policy.”

We note that dozens of suicide drones loaded with explosives attacked the capital of Ukraine today. The suicide drones used by the Russians are unmanned aerial vehicles made by Iran of the Shahed-136 model, and are called by the local authorities “kamikaze drones”. The drones killed at least four people.
