Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the purchasing power of farmers should be increased, unilateral and sudden increase in the prices of urea fertilizer is not acceptable. Asked for the time of day, Rana Tanveer said that protecting the interests of farmers is the top priority of the government, the government will ensure uninterrupted supply of urea in Kharif season, it has been decided to import 2 lakh metric tonnes of urea fertilizer, if required. 5 lakh metric tonnes of urea fertilizer will also be imported, directions to provinces to prevent hoarding of urea fertilizer and illegal profiteering, fertilizer companies to share urea fertilizer distribution plan every month in advance.
Rana Tanveer further said that all stakeholders should be consulted before the increase in urea fertilizer in the future. There has been no increase in the production cost of urea fertilizer in the country. An increase in the price of urea fertilizer without an increase in production cost is not acceptable. .
