A year after the University of Abomey-Calavi banned extravagant clothing, deviations in students’ clothing have been noted. This, despite the standards prescribed by the educational regulations of the Training and Research Units (UFR). With the start of the academic year which has started in several training entities and the imminent arrival of new high school graduates, the Rector of the Uac, Félicien Avléssi urges compliance with these provisions on clothing style. These prohibited outfits are low-waisted pants, tank tops, low-waisted skirts, mini skirts and/or skirts with exaggerated slits (above the knee), low-cut outfits. It should be noted that any offender is subject to sanctions without recourse. Reason why the authority is making this new exhortation to call students to order, in order to avoid them getting into trouble with their hierarchy in the classrooms.
