An evacuation of Russian troops will take at least a few days. The estimate of the number of Russian military varies between 15,000 and 40,000 soldiers, plus all the equipment (vehicles, tanks, artillery, ammunition). Part of the equipment will undoubtedly be destroyed by the fugitives, because the system of ferries currently used by the Russians considerably slows down the evacuation. The challenge for the latter is to achieve a withdrawal in several stages, each time with a passage behind a line of defense. Any retreating army is very vulnerable. So far, the Russian army has not shown any particular ability to withdraw properly. The losses were very significant north of kyiv, where the problem of the natural border represented by the Dnieper did not arise. The Ukrainian forces will certainly deploy significant means to destroy the Russian forces, in particular thanks to the technological intelligence provided by the Americans, as well as by the infiltrated Ukrainian agents.
