DECRYPTION – According to the daily “Kommersant”, new units are being formed to reconstitute the forces deployed on Ukrainian soil.

Since February 24, an opaque veil has surrounded the Russian army in the country’s press. The information concerning the men who constitute it strictly speaking, their command, their conditions of recruitment and exercise, their morale at the front, the human losses, are at the very least fragmentary. A law passed on March 4 in the Russian Duma now heavily penalizes the spread of “fake news”on the Russian army in Ukraine. Authorized media, mostly close to the government, are therefore very scrupulous, while almost all free media have been banned in turn, their sites blocked.

But while the Russian government would like the population to know as little as possible behind the scenes of the operation in Ukraine, the very serious centrist newspaper Kommersant threw a little stone into the pond on Monday by formalizing what was already being said on independent channels: Russia is in the midst of a campaign to reconstitute vital forces to be injected…
