The Toulouse discipline
The success of Toulouse in Ireland (13-18) is certainly based on two tries scored by Matthis Lebel and Lucas Tauzin, but also on the almost impermeable defense of Haut-Garonne. Beyond having repeatedly pushed back the Irish offensives and charges, Toulouse was sanctioned very little with the exception of a yellow card from Antoine Dupont at the end of the match. The Toulouse discipline was exemplary in this meeting and contributed to this great victory.
Tauzin, the X factor
The entry of Lucas Tauzin was the turning point of the meeting. The former Mons has changed everything after replacing Ange Capuozzo at the break. On his first ball, the winger simply scored the winning try. On this action, the pack of forwards made the difference on a carried ball and Dupont shifted Tauzin who was able to flatten and reassure his people. A test that sounded like a revolt among the people of Haut-Garonne who ended up dominating the second act from start to finish.

Ange Capuozzo, too shy
If Lucas Tauzin quickly stood out, Ange Capuozzo was a little disappointed. The winger, in sight lately, seemed elsewhere in this meeting. He wasn’t as sharp as usual. Perhaps he suffered from a slight injury since he was replaced by Tauzin at the break.
Disastrous conditions
Even before the start of the encounter, the fog was largely visible. But the latter thickened from minute to minute until the players themselves could no longer see the ball. Added to this haze, which greatly reduced visibility, was an icy cold. Not ideal conditions for playing rugby! We wondered if the match was not going to be interrupted. If this had been the case once the hour mark had passed, the score would not have changed and the leading team would have won the match.
