Sharjah: The Afghanistan cricket team is leaping from Asia’s baby to giants. After Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, Afghanistan has reached the Super Four after defeating Bangladesh. Najeebullah Sadran finished with a 17-ball 43* with six sixes to give Afghanistan their second consecutive win in the tournament. With this, Najeebullah has two world records in international T20.

Mujeebullah Zadran was hitting sixes in the death overs to beat even the legends. Afghanistan surpassed Bangladesh’s target of 128 runs with nine balls and seven wickets to spare. Afghanistan’s top scorer is Najeebullah Sadran who remained unbeaten with 43 runs off 17 balls. Ibrahim Sadran remained unbeaten on 42 runs off 41 balls. Opener Hazratullah Sasai, who scored 23 runs, also shone for Afghanistan.
